“One Hot August Evening”  August 20th 6:00 P.M.-8:30 P.M.

An evening for the community, raffles, music, food trucks and much more!~

The Houston Fire Museum invites you to our free event, “One Hot August Evening.”  This gathering will take place at our museum, located at 2403 Milam St., on August 20th from 6:00pm-8:30pm.  Complimentary beer provided by the Saint Arnold brewing Company, live music by the Jimmy K. Smith Trio, and food trucks; certain to be an exciting evening of entertainment!

Our goal is to reintroduce the local Houston community to our museum housed in the 1899 old fire station 7, Houston’s oldest firehouse, and Texas Historic Landmark.

The Houston Fire Museum is a non-profit organization that serves to promote fire-safety while preserving Houston’s firefighting history.  Thanks to the support of our benefactors, members, and visitors, we have been able to progress in many ways.  We were recently able to purchase the historic building housing the museum from the City of Houston.  The purchase will allow us to move forward with plans to initiate preservation efforts for the 116 year-old building.  We hope that we may continue to broaden our vision as both a museum and a non-profit organization.
