STORE OPEN | MUSEUM CLOSED

The Houston Fire Museum is currently closed for historic preservation with a reopening goal of June 2024. Our gift shop is still operating and has temporarily relocated to 3219 Milam St.

The Houston Fire Museum engages, educates, and enlightens the community on the importance of fire and life safety and preserves the history and heritage of Houston’s diverse fire service.

“Old 7’s”, Home of the Houston Fire Museum, Winner of a 2024 Good Brick Award!
This annual award competition from Preservation Houston recognizes outstanding contributions to the preservation, restoration, and enhancement of Houston’s architectural and cultural heritage. The Museum was among ten winners to receive this prestigious award. The Museum’s Trustees would like to thank architect Clayton Fry - Repractice Architecture, Project Manager Bob Brooks – BMP Group, and Contractor Tellepsen Builders for their dedication and expertise on this project. None of this work would be possible without the partnership of our generous donors, including our top gift of $1,000,000 from Camden Property Trust.
