Fire Fest is an annual fun, free family event, hosted jointly by the Houston Fire Museum and the Houston Fire Department – Val Jahnke Training Facility (VJTF). Proceeds and sponsorship of Fire Fest benefit the Fire Museum’s outreach and education programming, as well as VJTF and it’s programs to train firefighters. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about fire departments in the Houston area, and raise awareness among children and their parents of fire and life safety.
