The Houston Fire Museum
DISCOVER YOUR INNER FIREFIGHTER
The Houston Fire Museum is housed in historic firehouse No. 7, an original fire station for the City of Houston. It was opened in 1899 and was an active duty fire station until 1969. The Houston Fire Museum was founded in 1982 to preserve the legacy and history of the Houston Fire Department and promote fire safety education and fire prevention in the Houston community.
Our museum features a variety of exhibits which include antique apparatus and fire fighting equipment. We also offer guided tours, birthday parties, and have an on-site gift shop where you can purchase unique gift items and souvenirs.
