The Houston Fire Museum

The Houston Fire Museum was founded in 1982 to preserve the legacy and history of the Houston Fire Department and promote fire safety education and fire prevention in the Houston community.

We are housed in historic firehouse No. 7, an original fire station for the City of Houston. It was opened in 1899 and was an active duty fire station until 1969.

Our gift shop has relocated to our temporary office at 3219 Milam Street where we are still processing online orders with shipping and curbside pickup available.

If you would like to browse our gift shop in person, you are welcome to visit during business hours, 10 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday.

Masks are required for those not vaccinated.
